Welcome to Personal IT Guy. These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of the Personal IT Guy software (the "Software") and its website (the "Site"). Please read them carefully. Using the Software and/or the Site constitutes full acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
1. Eligibility and acceptance
Use is permitted for adults (over 18) or with a guardian's consent. By installing or using, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.
2. Description of the service
The Software is a tool for diagnosing your personal computer (CPU, memory, disk, network and more), providing information, explanations and recommendations in plain language, alongside an AI-based assistant. The information and recommendations are provided as an aid only and are not a substitute for inspection or individual professional advice by a qualified technician.
3. License to use
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the Software for private and internal-organizational purposes. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, rent, sell or distribute the Software without prior written permission.
4. Privacy and data security
The Software runs locally on the user's computer. We do not collect, store or transmit personal data to external servers, unless explicitly stated and subject to your consent. The AI features may send queries to a third-party provider (such as Google Gemini) to generate responses; such use is also subject to that provider's privacy policy.
5. Limitation of liability
The Software, the Site and the information are provided "AS IS". We strive to provide accurate and reliable information but make no warranty and are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage — including data loss, downtime or hardware damage — resulting from use of the Software, reliance on its information, or performing its recommended actions. Responsibility for use and for backing up data rests solely with the user. Nothing herein derogates from non-waivable rights under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 1981.
6. Prohibited uses
You may not use the Software or Site for any unlawful or harmful purpose, or in a way that infringes third-party rights, nor attempt to disrupt, hack or circumvent their security mechanisms.
7. Intellectual property
All rights in the Software, code, design, marks and content belong to Personal IT Guy. They may not be used commercially or otherwise without prior written permission.
8. Changes to the Terms and service
We may update these Terms and/or the Software from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page, with the last-updated date shown at the top. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed solely by the laws of the State of Israel. Exclusive jurisdiction over any related dispute lies with the competent courts of the Tel Aviv-Yafo District.
